Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Worked Great For First 2.5 Years...

uptown1999 12/23/2020

Purchased this TV in the November 2017 and it worked great for the first 2 1/2 years. Stunning picture deep blacks and very easy to use. However in November 2020 I started to notice some color issues where skin tones seemed to look off in a big section of the TV to the point where people walking from one side of the frame to the other would change color. I looked online and noticed that others where having the same issue. Apparently there is an issue with the panels on this model and it was a known issue to LG. I ran a test using a completely yellow screen from YouTube and sure enough there was a big green blob in the middle of the screen just like others had posted on the forums. From what I could tell it was due to a design flaw that resulted in panels overheating.Called LG Support and they told me it was caused by picture burn-in which I strongly disagree with as this didnt look like any sort of picture burn in I had seen before however they did say they were offering a free one-time panel replacement--although I would have to pay for the labor to install it. I am now waiting on the replacement panel which is currently on backorder. Im happy LG is replacing the panel however I am a little miffed to have to pay the labor cost to replace it since its a known issue by the company. Overall this was a beautiful TV when the picture was operating at 100. Hopefully the replacement will fix the issue and it will not become a problem again.

JoshV 12/17/2020

I was disappointed when my 3 yr old Q7 OLED started having display issues. I contacted customer service and sent them a picture of the issue and copy of my receipt and they shipped out a new display and had a tech replace it with no questions asked. Second to none service. Bravo LG

Great TV

Chicago12 12/16/2020

I love the picture and settings . I had a big problem after I bought. Picture burn on the TV it got worse as time went by. I called LG and they sent a technician to replace the entire front panel for free. It took a couple of phone calls but it was fixed. I give it 4 stars because of the picture burn other than that. Its a great tv.

Blown Away

Tony17 12/11/2020

When I used to go TV shopping in the past I would always just look for something inexpensive not really understand the difference in two TVs the same size but one priced way different than the other until I learned about a quality OLED TV from LG and let me tell you the difference is so dramatic To actually see what true black is like when watching anything is simply incredible and stunning. Playing video games on this TV are also just incredible The only and I mean only concern Ive ever had with this TV was burn in but LG has been so amazing in that regard as well that I tell everyone I know once you go OLED theres no turning back and since then Ive purchased other LG products and am a brand fanatic at this point. I highly recommend LG OLED TVs to anyone looking to buy a new TV I promise to this day nothing can compare or compete until micro-LED is at a true consumer level OLED is the absolute way to go and LG is hands down amazing.

Excellent color + black levels but ...

BobR2020 12/11/2020

Ive owned the 65 family room and 55 primary bedroom LG OLED C7 for over 2 years ... but watch out for burn-in. I own a 65 family room and 55 primary bedroom LG OLED C7 TVs and am very pleased with the quality of the picture - color/black levels. Unfortunately on the 65 I recently noticed burn-in in the center of the screen - mostly impacting skin tone quality in faces. Also major burn-in of the CNN logo and bars on the bottom of the screen. Not sure if it was a factory defect or too frequent viewing of that channel. I contacted LG via Messenger and they exchanged the OLED screen at no cost . I recommend every OLED user think about whether they frequently watch 1 or 2 channels that have static parts on the screen that might lead to burn-in and modify viewing practices as appropriate also to periodically use the Pixel Refresher feature accessible via LG OLED picture menu.

Ive had this TV so quite some time and I gotta tell you its the greatest tv Ive ever had. OLED is real and must be experienced by everyone. I cant watch a movie or a show on a regular TV. LGs OLED TVs are the best around. Supports all the best picture quality including Dolby Vision. Pair this with the LG Atmos soundbar and youll basically have a movie theater at home.

Failure of panel after 1 1/2 years of actual use

Beau101 12/6/2020

The TV is in our winter home and only used for news and movies. We began to notice miscoloring of Yellow and green which grew progressively worse. An extended warranty with Best Buy has allowed us to replace the tv after being identified as a failed panel. Objectively until that failure IT WAS THE MOST EXCELLENT TV EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD. It is a shame as it performed perfectly up to that point.

Stay away burn in is real

Manny 11/6/2020

Unfortunately after 2 years I started noticing a different color shades on yellows greens on my 65. The picture was great I have to Oled TVs 65c7 and 55c8 and was a big fan of Lg . I will never ever buy an Oled tv again I just hope my 55 last longer . I always thought you get what you pay for in this case a premium tv that would last not the case . Very disappointed stay away from Oleds if you are a gambler and want to give it a try you might get lucky . As for me a common worker I cant invest on a tv that last 2+ years . Know when I watch tv I see the different shades I am strongly thinking of tossing it and being a less expensive tv from a competitor that will still give excellent quality.

Bkeelane 9/5/2020

I was so excited when I originally bought this tv. My issue is that its not a good user experience trying to screen share from an iPhone. I have apps on my iPhone and iPad that I would would like to mirror to my tv rather than having to connect my phone or laptop with a wire. Please make this easier with a firmware update of some sort The only current workaround is to get a 3rd party app that cost money and has questionable functionality.

Burn In Issue

Ceeg 8/13/2020

I have owned my OLED65c7p for approximately 2 years. Picture perfect with unbelievable color. I loved it well worth the cash best TV ever and I have owned a few TVs in my time. However I experienced a burn in issue within my first year and had the panel replaced covered by warranty. Unfortunately it now needs to be replaced again. I was once again offered a new 2nd panel at LGs cost. On the scheduled date no one showed up for repair nor was I contacted by LG. Upon my own follow up I was advised that LG now would NOT cover the cost of panel replacement. LG advised that I must be watching 1 particular channel for a prolonged period of time and I should be changing the channel for a couple of minutes every hour...in other words my viewing habits caused the problem. As all programming has commercial breaks every 15 minutes I would think this suggestion ridiculous. Either I purchased a lemon or this TVs technology including the pixel refresh is being misrepresented to the public. Buyer please beware.

Robertdhart 2/6/2020

We purchased this television on 12/20/17 and had it professionally installed. It was very expensive. It now has a very green hue in the middle of the screen. Anyone in the middle of the picture has a green face while people on the sides of the screen look fine. We do not even use this television every day. We have cheap televisions that have lasted man many years. In sum the first year and a half it was 5 stars. Now it is worthless.

2pixel defects Image Burn in 6months

Nemo5990 11/24/2019

Ive had my screen replaced twice due to a random pixel dying and causes a line above it to have faded color it was pretty bad I bought the C7P December 2017 and the screen lasted until July 2018. LG sent a repair guy out to replace the screen. I was very thankful for that considering I bought the TV for $3700 youd think Id be allowed some kind of assurance this wouldnt happen again....it did but it lasted about 8months and Ive tried contacting LG about this issue and receive no backup from them on it. I never leave my Tv on an image that is standing still I have Brightness and Backlight at 50 at 50 this should never be an issue a pixel dying. Now Im getting slight Image burn in Nov 2019 the Image burn in started happening Jan 2019. I love the Image Quality when it was there but now Im so unhappy and it sucks because Ive gone through my 1yr warranty since the repair. My house is full of LG products. Repairing these TVs are super expensive. Its simple to repair but the replacement screens are worth more than just buying the same Model New.

Great For a few years...

Shnack 10/29/2019

The Oled TVs have towing the line on their quality. I have a Sony tv that I have had since 2009 that I have had no problems with besides the obvious aging quality that you get from a tv that doesnt have the newest technology. I needed a new tv and when I saw the picture of the C755 inch I HAD to have it. When I first got this Oled TV it was great I raved about the quality of the display to my friends and family and enjoyed many hours of use. However unfortunately not even three years into my use the display is practically unusable without me getting angry. I have a line down the side of the display that was all black it slowly seems to be fixing itself? that doesnt bother me as often as the very clear difference in brightness literally right in the middle of my screen. I have a line from what looks like is from the TVs menu right down the middle of the display that on the left side has much darker colors than on the right side. Of course the display is out of warranty so I must pay out of pocket to fix something that I have never had a problem with on ANY other TV Be aware before you buy

One of the best purchases Ive made.

Poizehn 9/17/2019

Bought this TV last year. Ive enjoyed every second Ive used it. OLED picture quality is astounding. The HDR on this is amazing. WebOS is a great feature thats not highlighted enough either very convenient being able to stream a movie from your phone In 4K/HDR. Gaming as well looks absolutely amazing on this with decent response times/ refresh rates compared to gaming monitors. Sadly no variable refresh rates for gaming but thats rectified in newer models. All around though this is one of my best purchases.

Good picture some feature issues

nothanks909288 6/2/2019

Screen burn in that wont go away. Not supposed to occur with OLED panels that are configured correctly and used within certain parameters and yet there it is.. Startup with LG sound bar not reliable. Usually initiates incorrect sound mode at wake or startup. Premium price for same old average issues.

Best OLED Ive owned so far

Robert2117 5/24/2019

Ive owned a C6 3D E7 E8 and now C9 all 65 and this C9 has the BEST picture hands down. I almost purchased the Samsung Q90 because of its BRIGHT colors but i prefer the more natural looking picture with Dolby vision and a great 4k picture. HDMI 2.1 is great with Marantz e-ARC and AppleTV 4k. I have a HDMI 2.1 cable and the info travels much faster which means quicker loading movies on AppleTV.

Great TV

M Bravo 5/24/2019

The picture quality is fantastic the OS and apps are snappy and even the TV speakers should be adequate for less picky users. It has support for Dolby Vision which is quite stunning inky blacks good motion and does not require any real fiddling with settings to have a great picture. Its a great TV.
