i would not recommend samsung appliances i only had my products for a year and had problems i tried requesting service and was told my products only had a 12 month warrenty

the specs state 2.3 and 3.4 cubic feet. unless you are thinking of baking in the upper oven off center, the oven heights for both are about 8 1/2 inches. extra height in the upper is by being off center from the broiler piece. in the upper, oven things tend to burn on the top. that oven is good to broil. the lower oven is ok for one rack of cookies or a sheet pan cake. to make a roast or anything larger, remove the divider. if you're trying to use only the top or bottom, both will get hot. maybe the electric ovens are really different sizes?
the gas cooking top works well for us though. thats the one bright side but not enough to make this a good range.

the display started acting not right after the first year. it flashes the timer and other lights when the oven is on. now the display is starting to disappear. the top part of the oven cooks horribly. i only use the bottom half. really disappointed in this. will not buy another samsung oven.

loved it when we first got it, love the dual doors. looks great, cooks great. until it doesn't . 13 in, the display started to fail. 14 months in, the top element failed. several messages back and forth, samsung accommodated and paid for the repair. now, a year later, the oven keeps turning off, throwing c-f2 error codes. looks like a bad control board. we can't tell the time any more (as the display is getting worse over time) and like our samsung refrigerator, the lcd panel is bleeding all over. bummer because it looks nice, but at $1,400 for a freestanding range, you'd expect a quality appliance.

when we try to open the whole oven door, it acts as if it is locked. we then squeeze the lever to open the top oven and close it. only then when we pull on the whole oven door will it open.
this issue is not addressed in the trouble shooting section of the owners manual. how do we fix this?

the worst oven i have ever purchased. after one year:
the clock lcd failed
the top oven convection fan failed
thermostat in both ovens was off by 15-20 degrees
control knobs peeling
samsung makes great tvs, but their appliances are lacking behind the competitors and just don't last.

strongly suggest you do your research and ignore the jd power award for samsung #1 in customer service. my experience with their customer service was the worst in my 35+ years as a consumer.
this range was purchased based on info and specs listed on the samsung website:
1. max oven temp 550 degrees
2. smartthings integration
3. two ovens in one unit
1. the maximum oven temperature does not apply when using the oven in the "twin" mode.
2. smartthings integration - the smartthings feature is "stone-age", doesn't allow any remote control.
3. look at the oven compartment dimensions twice! thanksgiving turkey doesn't fit in the lower compartment.
numerous issues, contacted samsung over 30 times & told there are no samsung certified repair "partners" within 100 miles of our home in ny.

my oven [lower] doesn't heat at specific temperature. i have to guesstimate temps to bake casseroles and cake etc. if a recipe calls for 375 degrees i generally set the oven at 395.

$1600 and four months...never got to use the oven. Customer service is good...BUT THEY USE CONTRACT VENDORS FOR SERVICE! Had to wait 6 weeks for service. On a NEW range. Got rid of it and bought a WHIRLPOOL!!!

We purchased this over direct from Samsung online and the experience was great. The delivery guys came and removed the old range and connected the new Samsung.
First off - it's a gorgeous unit. Very sleek and modern looking. It immediately enhanced the appearance of the kitchen. We love that it has 5 useful grills - particularly the center grill which is a standard round vs. those useless long ovals no one uses.
I love that it's wifi connected so I get alerts on my phone and Apple Watch when pre-heating is done along with when the oven is turned off. The dual-oven is incredibly useful and comes in handy especially when entertaining or at the holidays when you have multiple items to cook.
All in all, it's a great range and we are very pleased with it.

I love the versatility of the this stove. Being able to cook two things at different temperatures at the the same time. However the size of the dual oven is smaller and only allows medium and small things to be cooked at the same time.

Overall I like this range. Took awhile to digest the manual but I eventually got used to how the range works. So far, about a month in, it works well
There are a few things that can be improved. I did not pay enough attention to the BTU output. The burners are significantly less powerful than the competition. I believe, for example, the main burner is 16,000 BTUs whereas other brands are 19,000. It takes significantly longer to boil things. Not a big issue but noticeable. The oven also takes a long time to reach the temperature setting.
The top grates should be denser. Just too much open space for pots to tip over.
Lastly, the finish just doesn't clean well. Streaks and smudges.
But overall it seems to be easy to use now and well built. The real telling is a year from now.

I loved this range so much I bought it twice! We moved a year after I bought it the first time and bought it again for the new house. The only drawback is the feet on the grates, they tend to come off and get lost!

I like alot the flexibility of the double oven, it's working pretty well so far. a couple of things i've noticed are that the bread proof feature only works when the divider is out of the oven, it would be great to have it available on a portion.
The gas knobs coating is making wrinkles, i believe it's due to the heat coming out of the oven when I open the door to cool it down.

bought this unit to integrate with the smart home units i have. But the purpose for which i dumped a 2 year old range for this Range is not done. the range has a wifi connection that says i connect connect because its already linked to another account. ( have a suspicion that these unit are refurbhised and sold as close box items- however samsung call centre says its a close box item) will change the review if samsung steps in to solve this or the unit goes back to costco and this review stays here for ever.

I was very excited to be chosen for this campaign. I have had issues with my old oven for so long that I was beginning to give up on ever having an evenly baked pan of cookies or a cake that was not lopsided. I LOVE this oven and stovetop. There are so many neat features to it that I don't know where to begin. First and foremost, the fact that there are two separate ovens is my favorite. I love being able to make a pan of cookies or some biscuits without having to heat up my entire oven. I love the option of taking out the middle part that separates the two ovens so that I can use the whole thing. Turkey and ham just got a lot easier! And the 5 burners....great for my large family. Even though I haven't used all 5 at once, I can see how it could be an advantage. The power burner in the front is the one that I use the most, because it has a larger diameter flame and heats the pots/pans much quicker. I like the fact that the 5 burners cover the entire stovetop, making using a griddle much more doable than it has in the past.

Touch pad makes this simple for anyone to use. I love the double oven feature, I've used it many times when it's been hot out, I don't have to heat up the whole kitchen. My pizza, muffins and casseroles have all cooked evenly! I'm so impressed.

So we got our new a Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range with 16K and 15K BTU Power Burners w/Flex Duo™ dual doors and WiFi. It has 5 burners, two of which are power burners and one for simmering. The dual ovens are going to come in handy when the kids start baking and for those home made pizzas I make. So far so good, water boils within a couple of minutes, and the burners cook very evenly, much better then our old stove. I just bought all the ingredients for making my pizzas. Being part of the "Smart Things" when I preheat the oven, it tells me it's ready on the fridge, phones and TV. It will also notify you when your timer is done and you can choose to turn off the oven or keep it going for a little longer. It seemed like the house did not get as hot when cooking with this oven. The burners are placed just far enough for you to use all at once but we really like having a center one. Sometimes frying food you feel that the ones in the back might splash oil and the ones in the front is too close to you, the the middle one has that perfect placement. This is by far the best stove/oven we have owned.

My family loves the new Samsung FlexDuo oven. After having the oven for almost 3 weeks, haven't had any issues.
Samsung Delivery: was happy with the delivery service. Samsung provided you with all the information you need.
Installation: The installation was a little rough we didn't have a shut off valve behind our old range. So when they came to deliver and install they couldn't do it. We had to wait for four days for them to come back out to to install. So I had no range for four days. When they came back out to install they set everything up that same day. It didn't take them longer than 45 minutes.
First bakes: I can say that this is very different from my old range which was gas also the old range was 12 years old. I had to figure out the eyes on the range because when I was cooking I burnt some vegetables. It cooks faster and better. I we had a cookout that same week and that was the first time that I used the oven to make Mac and cheese and it worked great.
Overall my family is very happy with our new range. I love the ability to have another oven for keeping items warm or separate bakeing.

We are very happy with our new Samsung FlexDuo oven. After having the oven for almost 2 weeks, we haven't had any issues or frustrations.
Samsung Delivery: overall we were very happy with the delivery service. Samsung provided a delivery date and our only complaint was the delivery company called only the night before with an automated message for the time frame of delivery.
Installation: we also had the Samsung service perform the installation, done by the delivery company. This wasn't incredibly clear, we were initially worried that the delivery and install would be separate dates, but the delivery company set it up very quickly. Total time less than 45 minutes to remove our old and install our new oven.
First bakes: we previously had an electric range, so we were very happy going back to the gas range and the faster heat times. Our first bake was chicken nuggets and French fries. My wife loves crispy French fries which we normally have to start 15 minutes before the nuggets. This was a perfect test for the dual oven. It emit perfectly! Our French fries were the perfect crisp and the chicken nuggets were still juicy.
We've had a little bit of a learning curve with the convection bake, but the flexibility of the oven makes it easy to choose the right mode.
Overall we're very happy with our new oven. The ability to have another oven for keeping items warm or separate bake will be a fantastic value to our growing family.

I was excited to review this duo flex oven. There's a divider inside the oven that keeps the set temperature on both sides of the oven. You can cook two things at different temperatures at the same time. You can cook your dinner and dessert at the same time. The wifi connection let's you set controls on your phone via the smart things app. It also sends notifications to your Samsung TV to let you know when your oven is preheated and when your food is cooked. There's two timers for both separate ones. And yes you can use the full oven for bigger jobs. The top gas burners have 15k BTUs and 16k BTUs for everything you want to cook from boiling to searing. Samsung has set the bar with this oven.

I bought this range less than a month ago and I absolutely love it! Not only does it look beautiful, it is very functional. I have cooked using both ovens and the stove-top at the same time. What a time saver. We actually have dinner much earlier than we used to. Now I'm showing my teenager how to use the ovens. We are trying out new features all the time. Great buy! Great price.
