Original unit failed within several months during the off-season. LG replaced it with a new unit which failed after two months of use. LG has refused to replace/repair the replacement unit because the warranty has now expired. The compressors in these units are unreliable and cant be repaired economically.

I bought this unit in May 2023 and it died in July 2023. It does not cool the refrigeration unit is not working. As of this writing I contacted LG for a warrantee repair and I have not heard anything back back from them. A check on their website says the repair request is pending. I am not happy. We are going through a heat wave here and needed it.

I will never buy a LG portable ac again I bought two they only work for 2 months one went out like a month ago it stopped cooling compressor went out niw the second one went out same problem called customer service LG refused to honor thire warranty so here I stuck with two useless ac units here in southern California the temperature has been above 100 degrees

I have many LG appliances and decided to get this for a bedroom. Best investment I ever made. It has adjustable air flow louvers that close when the unit is off so it stays clean. The remote is convenient it has two speeds and a thermostat to keep it at the temperature you set. It is easy to install and quiet when running. I am using it as an air conditioner now but will continue to use it in the fall since it also has a dehumidifier and fan. Worth every penny I paid.

This works well cooks the place down pretty quickly. I do wish it had a vent adjustment rather than pushing it down to blow out instead of upwards. And the back tube keeps popping off if you move it too much. It locks in but the tube pops out. Its really hard to get the tube inside the window piece and the locking plastic piece for the machine.

Perfect for my non-air conditioned back porch which I enclosed. Only negative was two plastic pins for the hinged louvers were broken upon arrival. The unit operates smoothly however. Am in process of contacting seller as per possible damage during shipping.

Walmart offers what they call protection plan which overlaps your warranty...which seems to be a scam. Buy 4yrs but only get 3yrs.

I bought this product and it worked fine until the mfg warranty expired. Then the compressor quit and it would only blow air. Since I have owned it longer than the warranty covers it is a very large paper weight

My unit came non-functional out of the box.
But more importantly Ive been fighting LG Support for the last 8 weeks trying to get them to repair it return it or refund it and to get any sort of status what-so-ever on my claim.
Needless to say Ive wasted the whole summer without an air-conditioner.
All I get is run around in circles promises of them going to contact me back that never come.

I purchased this for use in an enclosed patio. The patio measures 232 square feet and this LG says it is good for rooms up to 300 square feet. This unit cools the immediate area decently but not the entire enclosed portion. I utilize fans to help move the air around and it helps some but not enough. I would say this unit would be better suited for about 150 square foot area.

I bought the portable AC in September 2022 and used it for a month or so and it worked great. The room would get really fresh quick. I put it back in the box when the weather outside freshened up and took it out in June of 2023. It worked for about a month really well and then it just stopped working. Great product until it didnt work anymore.

I bought this air conditioner just over a year ago. Two weeks after the warranty ended after the first year the compressor went out and is no longer cooling. The team tried to help in getting that repaired but I was told that even after just two weeks of being out of warranty there was nothing that they can do.

I spent hundreds of dollars on this LG portable air conditioner Just 1.5 years ago. Most of that time for nearly a year the air conditioner was safely packed and put away stored in a closet in a cool dark place when it was not in use. Today when I took the air conditioner out of the packaging/closet I was astonished to see that the entire top half and back half/part of the sides and front i.e. parts which had been exposed to the sun the previous summer when it was in use had turned a stark shade of yellow. This is not supposed to happen with an air condition that is just 1.5 years old. It is a clear defect in the materials that LG has selected for this product and a marker of poor craftsmanship.
Ive owned window a/cs from other companies which constantly sat in my window for years in the sun and they never turned yellow. I took great care is cleaning and storing this LG there is no reason this should have happened aside from inappropriate materials uaes in the manufacturing process. LG was completely unhelpful and refused to exchange or look into this.
As an aside the unit fills with water and has to be emptied everyday or it leaks all over the floor. Its an awful product and I wish I never bought it. I will never buy another LG product again because of this.
Im reporting LG to the department of Consumer Affairs and the FTC. I will also be writing reviews and posting pictures on every single website that sells your product.

So I chose this machine specifically because it said it was quieter than most. Im not sure there is an air conditioner that is quiet but this one is definitely quieter than my last one. I also like the simple neat appearance. My only complaint is that its very difficult to drain the water which I think this is the case with most air conditioners though. This one came with a spout in the middle back side and also one at the bottom. The instructions said you should hook up a small hose to the middle spout and put the other end in a bucket but they dont provide the hose. I am trying to find one online that will work and wish they wouldve just included it in the package. If you drain the water from the bottom you have to lift this heavy air conditioning unit and place it in or on top of some sort of larger pan that will catch the water. Its a heavy unit and I cant imagine how Im going to easily do it without spilling a bunch of the water. I had the same issue with the first one I bought. Im not sure why air conditioning companies havent figured out a way to make water drainage. Easier for the customer. Most of us cant easily pick up these heavy units and dont have the right size bucket or pan for them to fit inside or on top of. Just my two cents

I have owned many LG portable A/C models. Overall I like LG. The LP0721 model overall is nice. I like the dimming light feature and mine blows very cold air which is great.. The main thing is that almost no matter what temperature I set it at it cools way below. I can set it at 76F and it will cool down to 68F. But also I can set it to 77F and it could be from 68-77F.. The room is only like 250 square feet. I have never had this issue with any other model.. I am not sure if maybe the thermostat on the A/C isnt sensing the temperature but them sometimes it seems like it does. I have reset it I have move location on it.. same thing happens.. I have different thermometers to confirm and its like the temperature is random but always low.. which is better than it not working for sure... But I use it in my kids room and I dont want it super cold in there. I may have to buy another model.

I brought this about 1.5 years ago and all of a sudden it doesnt get cold anymore. The filters are clean and the unit is drain. It just blows out air like a regular fan even though its on the cool setting. Ive tried everything and nothing seems to work. Its been very hot here and the fact that its not working when I need it the most is disappointing.

My living room is 12 x 12 with vaulted ceiling and the unit breathes out my fireplace. Works OK and does blow cold air so its OK. My window unit in bedroom works much better and was $140.00 less expensive. But I couldnt use a window unit in the living room.

I purchased this at Best Buy and Im pleased with the purchase. I like that it is very sleek. Nice looking portable AC that is very easy to set up with features that are easy to use. It performs very well in a 250 ft. room and can lower the room down 10F within an hour. Setting up is straightforward and you have everything in the box. It comes with a remote so it makes it very convenient to change the settings. You need to be careful with the AC because its cumbersome and you need two people to help carry it up the stairs. On the low-cool fan setting the noise level was 55-56 dB compared to the 52 dB advertised. The hi-cool fan setting was 62 dB compared to the advertised 58 dB. I wish there were an additional fan setting that is lower for bedtime. I wish there were a smaller increment timer setting like 15 or 30 minutes. Best Buy show that it can cool a room up to 350 ft. however the LG box and LG description say up to 250 ft. so theres a discrepancy. Overall Im pleased with it so far.

Our central AC system must have been designed by a vacuum cause it sucks. We bought this portable AC to mainly keep in our master bedroom to cool it while we sleep and to move it into our sauna of a guest room when we have people staying over. It cools the rooms efficiently and makes them much more comfortable. We got lucky in that the windows in both rooms are the same size so its also really pretty easy to move making it truly portable.
Also very thankful that the filters are cleanable and that we wont have an upkeep cost of buying filters.
I would say if theres one concern itd be that its pretty loud. Were using it while we sleep so the extra white noise is actually a welcome plus but if you were needing it in a room where youre awake and watching tv or something you may want to take that into consideration.
Overall really happy with this purchase

I bought this last summer and used it for the tail end of the season. I plugged it back in to use this year and it had stopped working/blowing cool air. It was such a pain to have a replacement shipped and then they didnt even call to schedule a time and just shipped it to my address when I was on vacation. It was a nightmare all around but Im happy to have it replaced and hopefully this one will provide more use than the original

I can not express how unhappy I am with this purchase. It was expensive. Its very heavy and about as loud as a jet engine. After less than a year it stopped cooling the air. I had a service tech come to fix it but after hours of trying he couldnt fix it. The return process has been like pulling teeth. Including the service visit Ive gone through weeks of back and fourth Ive had to locate and provide excessive documentation and I still havent received a refund or replacement. This has been the worst purchase experience I can remember. I will never purchase another LG appliance as long as I live.

This was the perfect solution for the thermostat war in our house. Our teenager has her room upstairs with the study across from her. In order for the central air to get her room cool enough the upstairs becomes way too cold for us. The unit was easy to set up and despite complaints that its loud I dont agree. It doesnt disturb her sleep at all. I did have to put a pair of black leggings over the control panel to block out the lights due to how bright they are. Other than that no issues at all

I had another larger LG AC unit for about eight years until it finally died. I replaced it with the smaller one not knowing if it would have the same efficiency but it does and it takes up much less space. Highly recommend it
