My family and I decided to purchase this fridge about two months ago and unfortunately it stopped working after only about a week and a half. The fridge itself is very spacious and of good quality it was simply bad luck that ours malfunctioned so soon. After having reached out and I was able to acquire a full refund for the fridge. It is well known that LG products are great so it is possible that we may purchase another fridge that is similar to this one. Even though our fridge did not function the way we had hoped for as long as we had hoped the week that it did work my family and I were very pleased with how spacious it was and how well it cooled.

I like no ice/maker and big freezer more room obviously which works well for me. Wish there was a light in the freezer. Wish the fridge door didnt sweep the ground. Hard on the feet for midnight snackers. I really like everything else about it. When I first turned it on it froze a big test steak solid in 30 minutes.

Resides in our shop/garage and monitored with Wi-Fi thermometers. The design allows plenty of space in the door for large beverage bottles. The consistency of inside cooling is consistent with the large temperature swings in the shop. It also acts as an overflow for food storage and compared to our old two door model it is better suited to the task. It is garage ready but I would be happy to have this in my house. Simple styling practical and very little gadgetry. I have a two door bottom freezer LG in the house and I can store more food better in this model. Kept the shipping plastic on the doors because of the shop environment. That fact it doesnt have handles on the door is great. I used to run into them all the time in the shop because of the location. I miss the ice maker and water feature on the old unit but on the whole this is a better product.

Worst Applicance Ever

This is the worst major appliance that I have ever purchased. Here are the reasons: First the biggest problem is that the doors -- mostly the refrigerator door but also the freezer door to a lesser extent -- have not worked properly from day one. I contacted LG about this first by email and received no reply. Then I called the LG customer service number and was told that I had to contact the delivery/installation company i.e. Home Depot. This seemed ridiculous because about the only thing that the original delivery team did was: remove the outer packaging before the refrigerator was brought into the house wheel the refrigerator into the desired location in the kitchen and plug the power cord into the wall outlet. There was no need to connect the refrigerator to a water line because there was no ice making or water dispensing unit for this refrigerator. Nevertheless I followed LGs instructions and called Home Depot. Home Depot sent someone out who only fiddled around with leveling feet at the bottom of the unit. This did not help at all. In fact it seems that the door problem got worse as a result of the Home Depot visit. Second the temperature/humidity control for this unit doesnt seem to work properly i.e. at least it doesnt work like all the other self-defrosting refrigerators and freezers that I have previously owned. Frost/thin ice forms very quickly when the freezer door is opened even for BRIEF periods of time. The frost/thin ice that forms is worst on the glass shelf in the freezer but also forms on the acrylic side shelves. I have even sometimes seen a few small ice crystals on a wall presumably ABS material location. The frost/thin ice layer will not dissipate completely even when the freezer door is closed all evening and overnight i.e. at least 12 hours. It seems to take about 24 hours or more with no opening at all of the freezer door for the frost/thin ice to be completely dissipated. I tried lowering the freezer temperature setting to 2 one lower than the middle setting of 3 but this made no difference so I moved the setting back to 3. Third there is no freezer light. I have never before had a freezer without a light. Frankly this seems insane. All I can surmise is that they are trying to avoid having one more part go bad that will require the customer to have an expensive repair. It used to be easy to change lights in older refrigerators because they had very simple screw-in light bulbs. Changing the light in new refrigerators is now apparently much more difficult. Fourth I made the big mistake of getting model LHTNS2403. There is all sorts of wasted space on the inside of the refrigerator door. There are only two long shelves and one very small butter/dairy compartment. The owners manual that I received shows that there are 3 long shelves on the inside of the refrigerator door but that is apparently for a different model from the one that I received. Fifth the design of long shelves on inside of the refrigerator doors is incredibly stupid. The shelves are made of a transparent acrylic material that lock into slots into the ABS presumed material walls of the inside of the refrigerator door. The acrylic shelves rest on an ABS presumed material projecting ledge. First there is absolutely no point in having the removable acrylic shelves because there is no possibility to move the shelves up or down or to add a third shelf such as a third shelf that is shown in the owners manual that I received. Second the design is incredibly stupid because there is a gap where the bottom of acrylic shelf meets the ABS wall. Hence spilled liquids or solid food particles will go through the gap and some of it ends up on the projecting ABS ledge and under the acrylic shelf. This is a nightmare for keeping the shelves clean. Since there is no point in having removable shelves for this model they should have used solid one-piece no gap shelves made of the ABS material. Sixth a clear sign this refrigerator is terrible product is the fact that it is now selling on Home Depot for approximately $150 less than what I paid 6 months ago even though the price I paid at the time was a sale price. I posted a brief review about this refrigerator on the Home Depot website about a month or so after purchase. There was a reply in which LG wanted me to contact them on Facebook or Twitter. I do NOT participate in these social media sites so I ignored this. As noted I contacted LG customer service by email but there was no reply whatsoever. If LG reads this message please post an email address for which someone will reply if I send a message. Although I despise this refrigerator I would like to at least see if anything can be done of about the doors. Also considering the price reductions since my purchase I would at least like some kind of rebate from LG. If LG continues to provide no help at all to me I can assure LG that I will never again buy an LG product of any kind.

We have been very happy with this refrigerator. We love the size. Our side by side looks so small compared to this one. The frig door is so roomy too. I do not like the stainless-steel fingerprint resistant finish is soooo hard to stay clean. I called the support line asking for some spray to clean it and they did not have any to give or sell. I spent 45 minutes on the phone transferred three times and the staff was not very helpful. They wanted to blame it on the delivery people. I was very unhappy to say the least. I went and bought some special spray and it helped but did not get rid of it. I would have paid extra for the black finish.

I bought the garage ready top freezer a month ago and it developed frost in the freezer. Called to report it and ordered another. Cancelled the order as I turned down the temp which cannot be done by actual temperature readings just 1 to 5 lights to set the temp. Fridge seems ok but a there is a little dampness but no frost. Middle temp setting seems to be ok although I think it should be a little colder. I have put in thermometers. Not as good on temperature and dryness inside as in older fridges but plenty of space in the 24 cu ft.

This is the 2nd replacement on this model. Freezer works great cabinet temp sucks. If you like cold soda beer this is not the one you want. Let it run on medium for 24 hrs. turned it up to next setting 24 hrs later no change 24 hrs later highest setting still no change. Worst refrigerator Ive ever purchased. Customer service is a long road but they will talk to you. Apparently they all suck or just not quality parts. Ill never buy another product from LG again. After the sale its yours be warned.

Since I have been pleased with both of those I wanted to find a basic model LG that was garage ready. This refrigerator fits the bill and has a surprising amount of usable space in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Only thing I wish it had was a light in the freezer compartment.

This unit LG Electronics Model #LHTNS2403S / 01 Garage Ready refrigerator is Fantastic. Our previous extra refrigerator which was kept in the garage had lots of issues with outside temperature flu cations. This one keeps the temperature at a constant level with no issues. In addition this unit has tempered glass shelving and lots of storage on the doors both the refrigerator and and freezer compartments. And it is much larger than our previous unit. So glad we found this unit and actually got it on sale.

I bought this model to replace a 35+ year-old still-working refrigerator. I did this to get a unit with larger-sized refrigerator and freezer sections as well as getting the benefit of using only about ~1/3 of the energy compared to my old one. I opted for a top-freezer for convenience because I use the freezer section frequently. I also opted for the most basic model because I did not need or want an ice maker water dispenser etc. On the plus side I am pleased with the extra storage. Also in the ~36 hours of use the temperatures in the refrigerator and freezer are certainly cold enough when using the middle setting for both compartments. However I am quite disappointed in this purchase for the following reasons: 1 There is no freezer light at all Extremely annoying. I have to turn on kitchen lights or keep a flashlight on top of the refrigerator to see what is inside. 2 The area right inside the refrigerator section door has a lot of wasted space. There are only two door shelves and one small dairy storage compartment. My old refrigerator had three full-length door shelves AND two dairy storage compartments in a row that gave almost as much storage space as one full-length door shelf. This refrigerator seems to be designed for people who have many very tall bottles that need cold storage. 3 The leveling feet at the bottom of the refrigerator are very inadequate. You can readily adjust them so that the refrigerator is stable and does not rock back and forth. However in doing so I always end up with the refrigerator door not holding in place when I open it. Instead it immediately starts moving back to close and only stops when it hits my body. It is incredibly annoying to have to repeatedly push the door back away from ones body as you putting things in and out of the refrigerator. You can raise one of the feet on one side to stop the door from swinging closed on its own but then the whole refrigerator becomes unstable and will rock back and forth. 4 When you first start up the refrigerator there is naturally some condensation as the warm air cools. In the refrigerator section the glass shelves fogged up during the initial cooling but that cleared up within several hours. In contrast a thin ice layer formed on the glass shelf and frost formed on the door shelves in the freezer section. This is supposed clear up within ~24 hours after start up but it did not for me. I called LG and they told me to wait 48 hours before calling them back for troubleshooting. They would not tell me what to try before 48 hours. This is probably because you cannot return the refrigerator to Home Depot after 48 hours.

Wow this fridge is amazing. It has a lot of space in the door and fridge. I love that the shelves can be adjusted. The reason for my 4 stars and not 5 is because it wasnt clearly stated that the refrigerator didnt have water valve already installed.

Clean exterior stainless steel design. Easy opening grab space. I love the self-closing doors. You can keep the doors open by opening them all the way. The refrigerator interior is standard stuff. The freezer has a moveable shelf. After plugging it in it is ready to use in 24 hours for perishables and freezer items. You can throw your non-perishables soda beer etc. in the refrigerator at the get-go.
